Reginald James Lambert Winmill was born to Ivy Ellen Winmill on the 9th of October 1944. The baby was signed over to the Waifs and Strays Society soon after birth and was adopted at around 11 months. He was adopted by a childless couple Harry and Katherine Candler they lived in Oxford. His name was changed at adoption to John Chandler. John married in his 20s, again in his late 30s and to me in his mid 40s (he liked wedding cake). We had made contact with the siblings in Taunton and Essex soon after our twins were born (1992) and was sad to hear of the death of Ivy in the few years that followed.

Its a long and sad story regarding the adoption of Reginald James Lambert Winmill. He never got to meet his birth mother she didn't want to meet him,

John was married to a lady from Chadlington Oxfordshire when he was in his 20's. All I know was her name was Patricia. They had no children, and were divorced after just a few years. He married for the second time in his late 30s to a lady by the name of Pauline Wetton (Wetten). They married in Bristol, had no children and divorced around 1985/6?

We married on the 24/02/1989 in Bristol. We have three children, Harrison John Chandler B.11/05/1991, and twins Eliott Albert John b. 04//06/1992 and Declan Stuart John also b. 04/06/1992. We divorced on the 11/07/2001. Sadly John passed away on the 10/06/2006. He didn't remarry and had no other children.
